Jimisar introduces 2019 Mitsubishi Triton

KUCHING: Jimisar Group (Jimisar), the authorised 4s Mitsubishi dealer in Sarawak, is introducing the 2019 Mitsubishi Triton, now with a fresh and bold new look and more advanced features.

The 2019 Mitsubishi Triton has a starting price tag of RM101,015.20 for its VGT Manual variant and RM136,015.20 for the Adventure X variant, which is the highest specification for the new Triton model line-up.

Jimisar launched the New Triton on January 30, 2019 simultaneously across all its branches in Kuching, Sibu and Bintulu.

There will be a showroom event from February 23 to celebrate the launch of the New Triton. Jimisar extends their invitation to all 4×4 enthusiast to visit the showroom to view the new pick-up and to test the award winning MIVEC Turbo Diesel Engine performance.

The redesigned Mitsubishi Triton now sports the dynamic shield family face just like the rest of the Mitsubishi model lineup, such as the Xpander, the Outlander and the Pajero Sport. With the new slimmer bi-LED headlights and stylish LED daytime running lights with halogen fog lamps and turn indicator, the New Triton will definitely stand out from the rest.

Moving to the back, Mitsubishi has given the Triton a fresh new look. Now with a distinctive LED rear combination lamp to improve visibility and designed to be seen in all driving conditions. Not only that, the new brake lamp will definitely capture everyone’s attention which are all available in the Adventure X and the Auto Premium variant.

The newly introduced Triton is powered by the 2.4 litre fourcylinder aluminum block engine that is able to produce 181 PS and 430 Nm of torque channeling to all four wheels through a choice of six-speed manual, or the newly introduced 6- speed automatic gearbox for a quieter and more relaxed drive.

The top variant will be equipped with the newly introduced and first in class Super Select 4WD II with off-road mode and hill descent control to tackle various driving conditions such as rugged terrain with low grip surface such as sand and gravel, or challenging terrain such as mud, rocky road or river

Safety is always Mitsubishi’s top priority when it comes to their vehicles. Therefore, the New Triton has been added with numerous new safety features to ensure the safety of its passengers, as well as the pedestrians.

Triton’s top variant called the Adventure X is now equipped with the Forward Collision Mitigation system that prevents the vehicle from colliding with any object or pedestrian that is obstructing the way. The system will produce a warning beep to warn the driver of a potential collision and if the driver ignores it, the system will automatically apply brakes to prevent collision.

Additionally, this variant is equipped with the Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation which is only available in the New Triton. This system is to prevent the driver from any accidental acceleration. The system is able to detect objects at the range of 4 meters and it works both the front and the rear.

Other than the advanced safety features, the New Triton is also equipped with standard safety features such as Active Stability Control, Brake Assist, Brake Over-ride, Rest Reminder PreTensioner Seatbelts, ABS Brakes with EBD, Collapsible Steering Column, Hill Start Assist and ISOFIX and 7-Airbags.

The storage and utility section has also been improved to cater more available storage compartment and convenience such as the newly added smartphone storage with charger port for the rear passengers.

The New Mitsubishi Triton comes in five variants namely the Adventure X, VGT Auto Premium, VGT Auto, VGT Manual Premium, and VGT Manual of which all variants are now equipped with the 2.4 litre MIVEC engine. The New Triton now comes in four colours, White Diamond, Jet-Black Mica Graphite Grey Metallic and Sterling Silver Metallic. The Triton is the only pick-up with a five-year or 200,000 kilometre ( km) warranty which comes as standard.
