Sharing of Warmth and Happiness at Seri Kenangan Old Folks’ Home:
A Chinese New Year’s Visit
It was a sun-scorching Saturday afternoon on 14th January 2012 when three Jimisar-Mitsubishi demo cars, Lancer GT, Pajero Sport VGT and Triton 3.2 were heading to Seri Kenangan Old Folks’ Home, located 12km away from Kuching.
Upon our arrival about 1.30pm at the Hall, our Mitsubishi demo cars attracted attention from some of the senior citizens. Some of them walked out from the wooden door side and observed our cars filled with pillows in red Mitsubishi non-wooven bags. Grey hair may reflect their old-age, but their eyes shined with the very same happiness and anticipation for the Chinese New Year’s visit from Jimisar Autotrade Team. There are reportedly 83 senior citizens, and out of them, 30 are warded.
The charity envoy, headed by Jimisar Autotrade’s Executive Director Ms. Mariana Ismail, together with a team of Sales Consultants, was not only giving away pillows, but also distributing angpow to all of the Golden Residents at the Home. Many of them received our visit and the gift with surprise. The Home Assistant Principal Mr. Abang Iskandar, who were present during our visit, expressed his appreciation.
